On a distant coast so very far there’s a little house in Porbandar, where the glasses clink and the people drink many bottles from the altar. When a storm from sea batten down the life you lead, when the hail stones sting your eyes. Through the eye of the storm keep your promises sworn as the cold wind whistles by. And it’s one more time for the waves that climb and smash upon the wall. And it’s one last song for the siren as she heeds the dying call… heeds the dying call.

Come over here and come listen to my story. I saw a man walking down the river. I saw that man head down to the water. He held himself like he had ambition, a stride so wide like he had a mission. And I said “Mister, where are you going in this midday sun?”
And I said “Mister, where are you heading and where have you come from?”

Looking out across the landscape, days have passed still starring into space. Two months roll and she’s still gone, people tell me that its time to move on. Dark clouds descended from nowhere one night, one August night. We fought like and cats and dogs until we’d run right out of fight. She left our home without a trace, just another missing person case. I heard that people had called her trash, they whispered stories of her chequered past. Dark clouds descended from nowhere one night, one August night. We fought like and cats and dogs until we’d run right out of fight. Her forgotten things still haunt the room: a set of keys and a flower that’s lost its bloom, the chorus of her favourite tune, a broken-nail and a blackened spoon. Dark clouds descended from nowhere one night, one August night. We fought like and cats and dogs until we’d run right out of fight.

Underneath this look of empathy, dark intentions hide. Trust misplaced, big mistake soon you’ll realise. I enter your life in my phoney disguise, a wolf in sheep’s clothing that’s me. I conquer your trust with my insincere words, you’ll never get over me,
I’ll haunt you forever you’ll see. The beast inside has only one desire, no desire for
you. Just beneath my false sincerity I’ve a job to do. I slip in your world like a snake
in the grass, I’m all that you want me to be. I win your trust with my lies and my lust and guard my identity, I’ll vanish forever you’ll see.

The empty shelves say one thing, the newspeak says another, as the bear wakes from his sleep the truth will be uncovered. From cities to the tundra frozen tongues shall thaw. Your castle walls will crumble, and the bear will roar no more. Broken hearts and bitter tears, stories from forgotten years. Ruby stars that twinkle down, dreams of tzars and golden crowns. From the angel on the spire to the icy ivory towers. Broken hearts and bitter tears, stories from forgotten years. Ruby stars that twinkle down, dreams of tzars and their tarnished golden crowns.

I headed towards the north, riding with the sea behind my back. I’ll make the rivers red, towns I’ll paint a silent shade of black. I’ll parade around the streets, knowing what’s to come, take pride in my task, moving on when the job is done. I get lost in the crowd; I see fear in their eyes. As I whistle my tune, they whisper their goodbyes. Despite how you all live, all of you were born to wear my mark. It’s a thing you have
in common, it’s a branding of the dark. Knowledge of the pain, it’s the gift that I bring, life wouldn’t be the same and joy won’t mean a thing. I get lost in the crowd; I see fear in their eyes. As I whistle my tune, they whisper their goodbyes. When you see my pale face, you’ll know just who I am, you know your time has come when you recognise this man. You’re just a frightened little thing, so scared and all alone, searching without hope, facing the unknown. I get lost in the crowd; I see fear in their eyes. As I whistle my tune, they whisper their goodbyes.
